I have a walk in closet that consists of three rods for clothes. My problem is shoes. Usually they just become a heap on the floor of the closet. What can I use to keep them in some sort of neat order and be able to actually walk in the closet without stepping on shoes. I was thinking about a rack that will hold about 50 pairs or so but not sure.

I keep mine in their boxes, stacked. The color and style is on the end of the box. I'm jealous of anyone who has a walk in closet...lucky you!

I'm like happygal and keep them in the boxes - except for flip-flops, flat sandals, etc., when I can keep 2-3 pairs in one Dollar Store plastic shoe box. If you have a walk-in closet and the room, heck yea, get a rack or a Cubeical.

In my closet I use a 4 tiered rack...Just high enough to hang my tops and still see the shoes.

I just purchase a zippered 12 pr shoe bag that I put my winter shoes in and will keep under the bed. I too have a pile of shoes that accumulate. This definately helped.

Our master bedroom has two walk in closets and it also has a huge shoe closet. It's 2 full size doors, knobs are in the center and open out. When you open it's only about 18 inches deep and it's just shelves that you can adjust to the height you want for boots, ankle shoes, tennis shoes and sandals. I love it but we are putting our home on the market at the end of the year and I know I will miss all the storage this house has. But if master bedroom has a wall where I can build a shoe closet like I have now, maybe one door I will do it. It's real nice to open the door and all your shoes are there.

I have a walk in closet too and shoes are an issue. I have a hanging holder on the back of the door, a hanging holder on the rod and a shoe stand. I like the one on the back of the door best because I see and get at everything easily.
