I want to eliminate the toxic chemicals in my cleaning products. I tried making my own products, but I'm not really thrilled with that.

I was thinking about becoming a Shaklee member (not distributor) since they have a good signup deal going.

It is true that you can make 16 oz of window cleaner with only 1-2 drops of Basic H2, and 16 oz of all purpose cleaner with only 1/4 tsp of Basic H2, and that'll clean almost everything? Do the products really work? It seems I'd be cleaning with mostly water!Smile

This would eliminate a lot of products, bottles, packages, etc but it seems too good to be true.

Yes....these products work! I have been buying them for years because of all of my allergies and skin sensitivities. I think the amounts are off because I use the line markings on the bottles. You really only need a tiny bit to clean. I use more solution when I have heavier jobs. It's safe for everything.

Yes- go for it! I love Shaklee cleaning and their laundry products. I even bought extra of the bottles and gave some to my friend who has allergies/pets for cleaning her new house. They are fabulous. I use them in my classroom too, since the desks get dirty and I want to keep them clean.

I've used Shaklee products for years and absolutely love them. The Basic H, which is the one you can use for windows, degreaser, general cleaning, is the bomb! Cleans like nothing else. I also keep a bottle of Basic G, which is their germicide. This is also a concentrate; so, you'll have enough concentrated solution to refill your spray bottles for quite some time. I'm still working on the concentrate I bought a couple of years ago. Also, there's nothing like their Nature's Bright, additive for laundry. I don't use it in every wash; however I do use it when clothes are particularly dirty or stained. It works like a charm. Much better that OXY Clean.

I grew up using Basic H for pretty much everything, and my mom swore by it. I didn't know Shaklee was still in existence.

Thanks Everyone for you replies!

I think I'm going to do it. This is the kit I'll start with, it seems to have quite a few items: Get Clean I'll add the other products later to build a complete arsenal against dirt and germs!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
