They're selling this brand again today on QVC --- has anyone purchased a Serta mattress from QVC or at a store? There's tons of BAD reviews about the mattress sagging, chemical smell - and Serta doesn't back up it's warranty.

I bought a Serta mattress from ShopHQ several years ago and within two years it was sagging. I have one of the IComfort ones now and like it fine. I was really disappointed in Serta when the quality just didn't seem to be there. I do know a lot of it depends on how much you spend. It seems the quality is better when the price is over $1000. Hope you get more info from others.

Is IComfort the new one with gel foam? They sent me a sample of this, but I decided I like my old regular foam mattress from Serta better. Its over 8 years old and holding up well. DH thinks its too firm, but I love it. I want another one for the guest bed, still dithering on what to get.

I bought the one they had as TSV 2 weeks ago and I love it. There is no smell and it is made in the USA.

gypsy2: It's NOT true that the more expensive mattresses are better. If u google "mattress complaints" --- you'll notice that the more expensive mattresses, ie, the pillow top, the mattresses with several inches of foam on top, are sagging and have chemical smells. The mattress industry is not regulated and Serta/Sealy/Simmons/Spring Air are no longer owned by the companies -- but were sold to Hedge Funds, investors, etc. who cheapened the brands and use inferior products to make the mattresses. Some are even made outside the U.S. It's all about fooling the customers and making BIG profits. Remember, when mattresses didn't have any foam (just a few years ago) - and u could depend on buying a quality mattess at a low price - and it would be very comfortable. Not Anymore!!!!!

My sil actually moved East to work for Serta years ago! He no longer is with them but a different firm. I showed him the sales on the Q and he explained they are usually the same mattresses as in stores but with a few different specs, like covering etc. The warranty should be as good but you must follow it to the letter! They are very picky when making adjustment ! If there is any problem I'd call ASAP! Also, if they recommend a specific pad, you should use that one if you want the warranty to remain valid! Better to buy local, where word of mouth complaints matter to the owner!

Never underestimate the power of kindness.
