What in the world is going on with this room?! This is just plain awful! I usually don't say much that's negative, but this is a whole 'nother level!

As much as I like seashells, this room is overdone & cluttered to the point it gives the room a "cheapened" appearance.  I'll pass but I'm sure others like it.

My first thought when I saw it is that I don't see any connection between the major and minor pieces and the furnishings.  It is just one big cluster of something.

My DD has quite a collection, but since moving to her house almost 2 years ago, there's not a shell in sight. She complained about his just the other day.

I have a few large shells that I display on the floor close to my baby grand. Also, on my round table in the sitting area.

@sceniccoast  I posted this more or less as a 'throw away'. I don't like much about this room and I believe it actually was done by a designer and might even be the designer's own house. I guess if he or she likes it that's what matters but I'll take a pass too...
