Re: STONE AND FRAME CALIFORNIA HOUSE

Oh thanks for posting this...I love it all, especially that pool.  What a house.  Time to start playing the 30$ scratch off ticket instead of the cheap 2$ ones and hope for a super big scratch off win!

@Oznell  This home is lovely. There is so much to like about it both inside and out. I would eat all my meals in that breakfast room every day! The arc's and curves are so pleasing to the eye and I love the soft colors used. This is definitely a favorite.

The house and architecture have much to offer and there are some beautiful elements, both fixed and decorative. Overall, though, the decor strikes me as lacking and often as a bit contrived. The house deserves better.

I love it.  Breathtakingly serene, interesting, beautiful.

@Oznell , I really appreciate your commentary too!

I love the library and the staircase, the rest not so much.  I also dislike the front of the house a lot.

There is a house that looks a lot like that in our neighborhood and I commented last week to my husband that it looks like someone sawed two houses in half and stuck them together.

@Sooner

I agree. The front exterior just looks odd to me.

@Oznell

I like some of the individual pieces & design elements, but there's too much white for me. I need more color amd warmth. I'm not crazy about the mismatched chair look. I like the warmth of library, but I would choose different furniture. I really like the staircase, hardwood floors, and the outside pool area.

This is a really beautiful home!  I love the archways and the use of color!

Her antiques are really charming.

I would change the stools at the kitchen bar.  Even if you aren't rearing children, a grandchild or an elderly person might topple right off without high enough back support.

I'll take the little alcove and the tub in it, please.
