SLEEP # ADJUSTABLE SPLIT KING BED?

Am in dier need of getting a new bed.... However i have a king size headboard with 2 twin beds that are connected..

My sheets are twin size... Wondering when they say split king? Does that mean you can use twin size sheets?

Also being i do have a head board would there be a problem with putting the bed together?

Hope i am explaining right?

Have many health issues that i feel these types of beds would be great for my husband and I..

Unfortunitely i live a long distance from any stores that carry these beds...

Am not well and was in the hospital for several days for some health issues.. Including Afib....

Suffer from chronic back and spine issues as well.

@lovestodance, hope this explanation helps.  When talking to the store where you intend to purchase, you should confirm that this is the case.  LM

Bedding for split king

A standard king-size bedding set includes a fitted sheet for a single 76-inch-wide mattress, plus a top sheet and pillow covers. A split king set, by contrast, comes with two fitted sheets — one for each of the two twin-size mattresses. It has a single top sheet that covers both mattresses, plus pillowcases.

A king size is longer than a standard twin.

@lovestodance

The Sleep Number split king requires two extra long twin fitted sheets, otherwise the top sheet is a regular king size. Sleep Number does sell sheet sets to fit their beds. We used our existing king comforter.

We had an existing king headboard/frame set and the Sleep Number split king was just set down inside the frame and fit perfectly.

Good luck!

Go for the split king. My sister and BIL considered one, but when they kids sleep with them, it would be an issue, but for people without young children would love it! You can easily find extra long twin sheets everywhere because they are commonly used in college dorms.
