It's beautiful to look at but the wood looks more something else painted to look like wood and the windows look beautiful but cold.  I think I love a chalet look more.  I do love the view, however.

@Buffalogal47 ,  good questions!   There are three levels, I think they said.  Some of the areas of the house are a little modern for my taste, but the bedroom is superb. 

This architectural firm, Rowland and Broughton, seem to specialize in designing beautiful Aspen properties--  this A-frame is one of their smaller projects.

See how they added dormers to increase the headroom on the top floor?

See, even in a den, this is too much black for me.  But it is well done.

Way too much black for my personal taste!  But the kitchen and sitting area do have beautiful box panel-style light wood ceilings...

When is the last time  you had a woodburning fireplce? Did you know that most woodburning fireplaces nowadays are converted from woodburning to gas and the logs look exactly like wood?  So many modern conveniences.

@Nonametoday.  I have one.  5h3yr3vquite common in my area 2ith firewodd cutting and selling b3ing a lucrative part time job.

The picture looks like a wood fire to me.

The exterior of the house is gorgeous....modern mountain lodge.  I love the black in the living room area and the kitchen.  I'd just add a few things in both area to bring them a little more visual interest.  I'd also replace that chair by the fireplace and the barstools in the kitchen.  They don't look comfortable to me.

I am sorry, Kachina, but I don't know exactly what you said except this looks like a real wood fire.  So does mine. Mine has logs that have holes with what looks like a real flame coming through it.  Looks just like a real fire.
