There doesn't seem to be much usable counter space. An island instead of the table and chars might be more practical.

Table yes, chairs no.

@HLP Look at the upper cabinets on either side of the window. They're fronted by wire, which is a somewhat common rustic provincial look for some French (like the armoire below) and even American country pieces. I like the look, but it's one of those things that one either likes or one doesn't. It is sometimes hard to see the wire in posted pictures without enlarging them or opening them in a separate view.

@ahoymate wrote:Very "disjointed". Faux(?) leather seats, inexpensive looking linoleum &/or laminate flooring, faux chandelier. Table way too small for such a large kitchen. Not a fan
@ahoymate Either you're psychic or have some sort of x-ray vision. How can you know these things?
I see this as an interpretation of the English kitchen-diner concept, combining two definite rooms into one. I like the idea. Very formal dining rooms are passe.

"Psychic"? How about an interior designer/architech?

I love it, with the exception of the chairs, I don't feel like they belong in this setting......

I cannot get past the color combinations, which do not work in my opinion. I do not like the unpainted wood ceiling beams, and the table and chairs in creme and caramel against the gray cabinets and oven hood. If the table and chairs were a deeper shade of gray than the cabinets, and ditto the ceiling beams, I think it would look lovely.

I'll take it as a vacation home

I don't like the hood over the stove. I know it's meant to stand out but I don't like the gold trim. I'm not a fan of the chandalier either. You need real light in a kitchen. One of the first things I did when I purchased my home was take down the medallion and hanging light. I then had recessed lights installed. It was money well spent. No more dark corners.
I love the stove and floors.
