Do you have decorative rugs in your house? 

I grew up with rugs over hardwood as a child. Then my parents put in wall to wall carpeting. My current home also had carpeting over hardwood when we purchased it in 1999, but we removed it.

I recently had to replace the living room rug in my home because the old one was getting worn looking. Our sofa is a solid sand color. I love the pops of color the rug adds to the room.

We also have hardwood floors and use area rugs in places, I love hardwood floors!

Mom and Dad’s house had white tile in every room, and throw rugs everywhere.   

When we had to get rid of our carpet for health reasons, the few decorative throw rugs went out as well.  

I do have rubber backed mats at each entrance.

I like to use rugs everywhere.  I get them at At Home and change them out every couple of years when I get bored with them.

At Home has a large selection of rugs. 👍 And lots of other goodies too. 

My rug pictured and matching runner in our foyer came from At Home.

All my floors are antique patterned hardwood so none of my rugs are wall-to-wall.  My favorite designs are the Oriental style.  I have some Karastan which are very heavy and well-made wool.
