Rowenta Iron - TSV ?

As an owner of the previous TSV w/retractable cord over 4-5 years ago I had never been to retract cord, etc. but it was a great iron and still revert back to it (I have an original one w/no retraction).

Anyway I rec'd the iron and haven't opened the box as I've read the reviews re:short cord retraction problems

I ordered it because I like the updated features. Has anyone here used their new rowenta purchase - I know reviews are good, but, would rather get a 2nd opinion before I return it unopened.
