2 years ago our homes. glass sun room was smashed into in the fall, our house was ruffled  through and our valuables were not found in a safe room.Found out later and person was arrested, a   repair person who mistakenly  thought we had a home office for our business...Also was mugged and punched in Atlantic city about 12 years ago in front of a casino by a 16 year old boy...Stay safe pay attention..MaryAnne.   ps,our home had security system when broken into ,but repair man  knew about sunroom not wired because of his company .... watch repair people now limited access to house only when attended to.

Like you I do not play around. I have everything locked up. I have been in my home over 13 years and I have locked myself out twice and had to call the locksmith to get back in. LOL!!


@icezeus I always call DH to come let me in. LOL!!! 

I also locked my car once with it running & keys inside. LOL!!!

I cannot do that now because my remote starter will not let me lock the car doors if it's left in the car.

When we replaced our french doors in the dining room that go out to the back yard I kept locking myself out.

You have to unlock the deadbolt to get out but the regular doorknob lock can be opened with it locked???

I guess it's suppose to be a safety feature. All it did was make me lock myself outside.

I have to unlock all the other doors before you can open them.

I now take the key with me when I go out back just in case. 

DH's boss asked why I kept locking myself out. LOL!!!

Never saw a door that would open without unlocking it first.
