Review on the TSV sheet set

[ Edited ]

Just finished putting them on my bed. I lucked out as the blue on the lighter side of the sheets is an exact match to the blue in my comforter.  The fabric is a 40% poly/60 cotton blend, and the fabric is shiny & silky. It really wrinkled in the dryer, even though I got them right out and folded them immediately. I recall the rep saying the reverse to a different shade was just the back of the fabric but , in fact, there is a seam all the way around and they are quite heavy so they are double layered. No doubt about it. They are very reasonably priced considering how much fabric is used to make them reversible. We haven't slept on them as yet so I don't know if they will be too hot. It will be cold here in Florida tonight (40 predicted) so I won't be able to judge about them being too hot for several days. All in all - I'm keeping them because of the exact color match to the comforter but otherwise I'd give them 3 stars out of 5 because of the wrinkling.

I plan on washing & trying mine out tomorrow. I got the blue too. I have blue polar fleece but it's a brighter blue. I ordered these because they will match my comforter-just like you said. I hope they're warm- we have a low of 1 degrees tonight.

Re: Review on the TSV sheet set

I've gotten these sheets the past two years and they are not double layered.   They must turn the raw edge in so it looks like a seam for two layers but it's not.  It must have a nice appearance on both side.   Do you think they'd blatantly lie about there being layers?

@Kachina624 That makes sense, because they are selling them to be used on both sides.

When a sheet is one layer there is a hem on the side - these are not hemmed - they have a seam . Do you know the difference? For there to be a seam you MUST have 2 pieces of fabric being sewn together.

They obviously have a special treatment on the edge so they will appear finished on both sides.   @151949  Don't insult my intelligence.   I've been sewing since I was 9 years old.   I've also handled and used these sheets for two years.

Oh my, we have posters talking about the same product but giving completely different descriptions.  As cold as it is here, I'd like heavy sheets.

Re: Review on the TSV sheet set

Well.....here is how you tell. You grip either side of the sheet and try to pull them two sides apart like you would a trash bag or grocery store bag. If it comes apart, then there are two layers, if not, it is one layer. They would have to do a turned hem so that both sides are finished. If 151949 would post a pic of the seam/hem, I could tell better.
