I have a gorgeous carved wood front door. I always felt it would be a sin to paint it but I'm leaning that way, if I find the right color. I love this yellow door. I'm leaning more towards a turquoise or some variation of a blue/green.

I like the house and they did do a great job remodeling but the kitchen is too stark white for me.
It could be the lighting or the camera...a pale color added to the kitchen would cut the starkness for me personally.

@Love my grandkids wrote:@stevieb I love ranchers and really really like this one and how often do I say that? lol The only thing I would change are those ugly and hard iron patio chairs to something comfy.
I love the color choices and I love blue in my home. I could be very happy in this house!
This is Florida. Bamboo or other is not going to last long in their tornadoes, hurricanes and frequent storms. Iron might not but it will sure last longer than a wicker or bamboo.

I have a very nice mahogany door which, after 23 years, looked horrible although we tried to have it varnished or whatever it is called by the painters every 3 years. It did not stand up well after that many years, but it has the last 5 years with that European paint for outdoors. I can't remember the name. The painter has the name. He ordered it and completely sanded the door and primed it before painting and used a spray painting for it.

@Nonametoday Gee I don't recall suggesting wicker or bamboo. I've seen patio chairs made out of other things.

Sorry I said that. I did not know there were so many other things besides wood, bamboo or wicker. But I guess there are other items. Just color me dumb. My apologies.

The rooms weren't fully shown, only small areas. Few bedrooms were shown, no baths.
No way to completely understand what the home looks like.

A thousand pardons... One can't post what wasn't there to share. Besides, there's enough here to get a pretty clear sense of the home's overall vibe... ![]()
