Revamped Florida Ranch House...

Sorry, no 'before' shots, but it seems the new onwers wanted a ranch house near the water and reworked an older home... Aesthetically, this house doesn't exactly sing to me, but they did a nice job...

@stevieb   I would never choose to begin changing my earthy home to a blue and white one, but I agree whoever chose the elements for this ranch did a great job.  I especially like their outdoor choices.

Re: Revamped Florida Ranch House...

Oh my, @stevieb , this one I like  a lot! In fact, I'll take the headboard and French doors to the patio right now. And the living room, or at least the sofas and rug, & most of the kitchen, tho it does seem a bit overly white, and sure, the Doxie too. The yellow door at the entry is perfect.

You mention the house is near water, so to me, Florida and water can mean possible alligator visit--the only real downside.

It is a lovely home, but not my aesthetic. It isn't that common in my area, but when I was looking at homes it was a pass if there were doors in any of the bedrooms.

The outside is well manicured, but with all the critters that roam in Florida I wouldn't feel safe with all that lush greenery ready to hide them.

@stevieb I love ranchers and really really like this one and how often do I say that? lol  The only thing I would change are those ugly and hard iron patio chairs to something comfy.

I love the color choices and I love blue in my home. I could be very happy in this house!

Re: Revamped Florida Ranch House...

I think the house is gorgeous, the exterior shot exemplifies warmth and welcome. I painted the door to my blue ranch yellow last year so I love blue and yellow together.

The floor to ceiling windows in the dining room are beautiful as are the gauzy blue and white drapes.  The mirror, chairs and matching lights add the perfect touch. Just wonderful essentials, no clutter.

The interesting choices in all of the hanging light fixtures just work.

The accents were charming, especially the lamp by the bed. And the last shot of the grounds? Heaven.

Love the little dachshund too.

The only thing not true with this house is the doors being left open, even just for  the sake of picture taking,  With all the snakes, geckos,. turtles and other of mother natures creatures, you could never do this ,,, lol lol

They would scurry in there so fast,, well, everything but the turtle...

@stevieb

Love the outside of the house, the french doors.....the table set outside....

I guess they wanted to keep it light and  airy  and "beachy", but its just too much white for me...

I dont care for some of the living room furniture.  I cringe at the thought of the white covers on the dinning room chairs and what they might look like after a fews meals--even with a good detergent....But nice home nonetheless!

I like the house, but wouldn't want to live in FL with all the bugs, humidity and scary animals,
