Remember Lladro Beautiful Figures?

Just happened to think of these beautiful pieces.  Gray blue, cream, and tan.  Many smaller ones just $9.99 on ebay.  I always loved them.

Does anyone collect them?

@ECBG   If you collect, that is a fabulous price.  Many decades ago, I collected a few pieces that had significant meaning for me.

Yes, I have about 6 and several Hummels from when we lived in W. Germany. Love the animals.

Yes- I have several. I agree they are lovely.

I downsized last year. Could not take my beautiful lighted corner curio cabinet. My Lladros are packed in the basement. Nowhere to display and enjoy them in my smaller home. Smiley Sad

I have a few, and I still love them although I wouldn't buy them now.  This is my favorite.

@queendiva I would do a tablescape centerpiece in the middle of my kitchen or dining room table if I had any.  They would be perfect with my primitive antiques because they are the items that would have been in homes in the period the figures represent.

You could also put the tablescape on a lazy Susan.

Re: Remember Lladro Beautiful Figures?

I bought my mom about four or six of these back in the 80's shortly after I graduated from college. A couple are rather large, very ornate relative to many you see, and were really expensive at the time (I'm thinking like $300 each). I got her ones she saw that she fell in love with.

A lot of people regret the big money they spent on collectible things like this. I don't. She still loves and enjoys them as much today as when she got them. She has a small, narrow lighted curio that she displays just these few pieces in. They really suit her decor, and they are beautiful.

What I feel bad about is that I don't want them (never really cared for the colors) when she is gone, nor do I know anyone in my family who will. But I'd say I more than got my money's worth out of them, as she has been loving and enjoying them for going on 40 years now. While I'll never see a return in money on that investment, it has paid off in seeing her enjoy them all these years.

@NickNack   I have and love that one too!  I have 5 or 6 cat related Lladros and still really enjoy them.

I saw these at Belk when I was a teacher and thought they were so beautiful!  They were only carried for a year or two, but being creative, I always remembered these beautiful items.  I think I'll get some!
