I am about to have to purchase a new Fridge. I was just wondering if anyone has had or know any information about the Samsung or Kitchen Aid? Does anyone have any recommendations on what is a good brand to buy?

I have a KitchenAid French door refrigerator.

I am very happy with it...I love the deli tray, it is perfect for fitting a large pizza box!

For a large fridge, it is also energy efficient. My electric bills went down $12/mo. after we replaced our older, SMALLER model.

I have a Samsung with french doors (freezer on the bottom) and it's worked out great.

Those with freezers on the bottom are nice, but I just have a cheapo Whirlpool model which is all we need.

The Kenmore that was here when we bought the house in 2001 is a side by side with only ice on the door. Go figure. We decided we will replace it with one that has filtered water on the door. Not sure about the French door models with the freezer below. Might be OK, might not. I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Good luck researching what you need.

I have a Samsung Side by Side with the cool LED Lights inside. This has been a gem of a refrigerator. I have been very happy with it.

I have one also actually its my 2nd the first one went out and believe it or not the extended warranty people said they had nobody to fix it so I made the owner of where I bought it take it back. I did buy another one from her....and wish I hadn't now. I sold the other one finally. But this one doesn't seem to keep things as cold as I like on the doors. I've had margarine go bad. I do love the bottom freezer but we will see how long this stays "working".

Anyone else notice with the double doors its not as cold? I also don't like the bottom drawer in fridge it should of been two since you have open both doors to get into it.

Sounds just like mine and my only complaint is it's very slow making ice. My old GE was much faster. This Samsung is very quiet though and in a very open floor plan, that is a big, big plus!

I really loved the french door KitchenAid frig but it was just too small for my needs. I ended up getting a rather large french door Samsung for my newly built cottage and its awesome! I love it so much better than my side-by-side LG that I have at home. My son just moved into a home he just purchased and he got an LG side-by-side and its made rather flimsy. Not the best workmanship.

When we lived in pa we had a fridge with the freezer on the bottom. It was great. You only go into the freezer once or twice a day - and the part of the fridge you use over and over is more convenient. I have a side by side now - I really miss my old fridge. If i had the budget for it i would love to have a french door fridge with a freezer on the bottom but they are expensive to the extreme.
