I am looking for a realistic resource (website, magazine, newsletter, instagram, etc) to give me ideas on how to redecorate my house. I like modern styles and would like to know what is in style for flooring, window treatments, paint, etc. I live in a rural area with a small-medium size house. So definitely nothing over-the-top. Thank you for any suggestions.

Not sure about a resource but if you go with what's in style, it will eventually look dated so I suggest choosing what you like and gravitate to.

@Thundar If you're doing all that-redecorating the whole house, you will be better off hiring an interior decorator.

@Thundar well, I think to start you could browse cataloges like ballard designs, pottery barn, west elm, restoration hardware, wisteria, and others I can't think of right now and see if there are looks that resonate with you and what you think would work in your home. You can look through magazines like elle decor, domino and other design magazines, again just to find that feels right for you and your house. Many people will browse pinterest. You can google to see what styles are trending in and trending out. (take it somewhat with a grain of salt) but you can see floor colors, cabinet colors and at least you can try to get ahead of the curve a little - meaning make sure it's definitely on it's way out right now.
You could call an interior decorator for help. There are some also that will help remotely with pictures of your house/rooms. Make sure they share your likes and your vision.

I don't know if you have a good service in a nearby city which specializes in flooring, carpets, hardwood, tile, granite, marble, etc., many of which have in-house decorators who can help you with everything. Some paint stores have that. My Benjamin Moore has an in-house decorator so is a real designer. She has a college degree, and she is paid by the sales. They have a curtain, drapery, shutter, floor and paint/wallpaper service. Cities usually will have one. Even in my small town, there is a flooring place that has a very good decorator albeit she is not degreed. Her family have been in the window-flooring business for 4 generations so she has grown up in it and she is very good.

@Thundar I just reread your post .... when you say you like modern styles, what do you mean by that? Like current styles? Or did you mean like cb2 and west elm? Or sleeker than that? Or mid century modern? Can you post a picture or 2 as examples of what you like?

Have you tried Pinterest? I've been looking at front door colors there. Plethora of ideas in any category at that site.

@Thundar Since you don't want it to be over-the-top, I would suggest doing a search for "budget friendly modern living room" (or whatever room you are working on). It's a good way to get ideas.

You are getting some good suggestions, @Thundar .
I envy you having the fun of redecorating.
Since you are interested in modern, but not "over-the-top", I have a few online sources for you. Just google these names which will take you to their youtube sites. If you watch their videos, you'll see tons of rooms and ideas.
Studio McGee
Amber Interiors
Brandy Jackson
Edited to add-- Oh, I forgot-- add Sophie Paterson to the above list of people to google!
If your taste veers to a more mixed, cozy 'modern' that has more traditional and rustic elements, I suggest googling Lauren Leiss who does rooms like this:

Houzz is a good source. Zillions of photos. Search for the decor style you like.
I am probably different than many, though. I started with choosing furniture styles and a color scheme I liked best. From there I chose accessories that went with it. That way I created decor uniquely my own, not someone else's.
May not be to your liking, but I rarely find interior decorators with ideas I could live with, so I used my own.
