I agree they have always seemed to be disproportionately big compared to other furniture in a room, making it look out of place. Not usually a very attractive addition to a room. But, WOW…the comfort. I inherited at practically new recliner with push button control and the ejector model. It was not even month old when it came to me and even though I thought it was ugly and not even a good color for our house, I just could not get rid of it. It turned out to be a gift from heaven. Just a few months later I developed horrible painful back problems – to the point I could barely walk. I could not sleep comfortably in bed, but for some reason the chair allowed me to get into a position that gave me comfort and sleep. And, because it had the ejector feature it helped me be able to stand up with little pain to my back. I was so grateful for that chair and to this day it is my favorite piece of furniture and remains the best place for a lazy afternoon nap. It truly was a gift from heaven!

We bought a Laz-Z-Boy recliner a few years ago. It rocks, swivels and reclines. The fabric is soft but we put a cover on it due to the cats - who also love it.
My one wish is that when I'm reclining and relaxing, that it could somehow levitate and fly around the house so I wouldn't have to get up out of it. :-)

I don't care what they look like - our comfort is primary - looks secondary. In DH's den he has a laz y boy reclining sofa - both ends recline like a recliner chair and a matching recliner chair. This is the room where we sit and watch TV in the evenings etc.In the living room we have more formal looking furniture that is not at all as comfortable as that laz y boy furniture. That laz y boy sofa is the most comfortable for napping !

These products are worth their weight in gold. Several years ago we purchased a sofa for our family room with electric-controlled reclining on both ends. Wonderful for seniors with many issues. My DH recently purchased a Lazy Boy for his den, with additional lumbar support. It fits him very well and is not huge at all.

My husband saw the reclining sofa's. I think he will want one after getting used to his recliner.

We have had our Laz y boy furniture for at least 20 years - probably more and it still looks great. I can say their quality is fabulous. Ours is chenille fabric - not leather. It has always been in the den so it gets much more use than any other furniture in the house except our bed.

You can mention brand, store names etc., you just can't post links or coupon codes.
I've heard many complaints about Lazyboy not being what it used to be. People have trouble with the mechanical system. My parents had a pair of very expensive all leather recliners, and I couldn't tell you how many times someone was out to work on them. I'd buy another brand.

THe quality of Lazy Boy has declined in recent years. They are not made the way they used to be. MY daughter has a reclining sofa and love seat that is 3 years old and falling apart. THey make furniture for family rooms so you would think they would stand up,to heavy use and these have not. THere are other brands out there that are made a lot better than Lazy Boy. FLexsteel is a name that comes to mind.

We have flexsteel sofa and 2 recliners in our camper and they are not really very comfortable. They are pretty, but just not near as comfy cozy as our laz y boy at home.We have even been discussing replacing them and they are only 2 years old.
