@stevieb  Not my taste,  Bland and boring.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

This is a no for me. It has no style of any kind. Well maybe plain and blah.

But I do enjoy your post. Keep em coming.

I think it's blah too...

And thank you @ladycos. I plan to... Keeping in mind that nothing any of us posts is going to be universally adored AND that I don't like everything I post by a long shot... It's all about the conversations and comments the posts generate...

@stevieb   Love the Library ladder!  Don't care for the single bookcase on the other side of the window, looks unbalanced to me.  I would move the art work over, once the bookcase was removed.  For the most part, I'm neutral on this.

@Somertime  This isn't a space that exactly captured me either... Truthfully, I'm not sure I'd keep anything in this room and, in fact, I don't even like what I can see of the room itself!!

This is one of the better reading areas I've seen.  Not masculine looking & nice & bright with the furnishings & window.  Bookshelves aren't as cluttered  either.

Re: Reading Area, Contemporary Vibe...

It is not what I consider a "warm" comfortable room to sit and read a book in.  It needs soft chairs with end tables with

good reading lamps and if at all possible, a foot stool.  Three or four shelf bookcases would be preferable as opposed to floor to ceiling bookshelves.  I would do the whole room over it were mine.
