Thinking of getting the TSV. I have 2 cats, tile flooring, a couple of throw rugs and only one step up to another level.

Would love hearing thoughts on this vacuum. TIA!

Yes, I have one...........don't like it.  It may be good for pet hair (I don't have pets so I don't know), but otherwise, it does not pick up like a regular vac.  It goes where ever it wants.  Does not go back and forth and does not go to the docking station.

I went back to my vac.

I have a Roomba and love it. It does go in a pattern around the room according to what it bumps off of,,,seems to cover the whole area eventually. It spends extra time on dirtier areas like under my bird cage and sends me a text message when it redocks telling me how many of those "dirt events" it took care of. I have both carpet and tile floors and it does a good job on both. I especially like that it goes under beds, sofas, etc. I have mine programmed to run twice a week and the dust bin is always full. That said I do use my regular vacuum about once a month on the carpet to deep clean that.

I have the iRobot Roomba i7, and I really like it. I checked reviews before I bought it from a different retailer last year, and they were good (Kohls, BBB, WM). I think the price QVC is offering with the docking station is a bargain. I don't have any carpet in my house, so idk how it works on that.

Got one.  ???  It cleans and does a decent job, but it goes places I don't want it to go!

Mine will not stop at the magnetic strip so it goes under the couch (and can get 'stuck' under there) it tries to climb my recliner legs, goes back and forth forever under my table, too many legs to hit,

I would never run it if I were not going to be home.

If your furniture is different, maybe it will work for you.  Great Idea, works most of the time.  Work a try.  I was not prepared for it to go under my sofa and couldn't get out!

@Jacie

Don't have one, but my sister really loves hers.

A funny aside .....  I read that approximately 91% of people who own those give their device a name!  LOL

After I read that, I asked, and my sister said she named hers Sprocket.   Woman LOL

Ok that's really funny! Havn't ever thought of naming a robot vac, but it really is out of a Jetson's cartoon!

Re: ROOMBA-do you own it?

[ Edited ]

Mixed feelings. We named ours Buzz. It is part of the 900 series. Have had it about three years.
Pros:

I don't have to push a heavy vacuum cleaner. Which has become nearly impossible due to hand strength issues

It is easy to empty the bin

Picks up a lot of dog hair

Cons: it has a mind of its own. Doesn't always pick up in areas that it should

"Forgets" to head home for recharging and often runs out of battery power under a bed or somewhere equally inconvenient

Doesn't get debris in corners

Takes hours to do entire house. 1300 sq ft.
Frequently has issues ie gets stuck somewhere

honestly if someone could recommend a cordless deep cleaning  lightweight vacuum that is effective on carpet and hard floors, I would be interested.

Ours is called Robbie.  We are very happy with it, although it does have a few quirks.  We love that it cleans under the beds because our beds are heavy and hard to move.  Robbie doesn't always want to go home when we hit the home button...he is such a hard worker...ha ha.  We would never be without a Roomba.

I have used a Roomba for over ten years.  Absolutely adore it!  I purchased it when I retired.............have no idea why I didn't have one when I worked. Mine goes backing to it's docking station when finished.  I have carpet, wood floors as well as tile and a dog.  I have a 3 bed, 2 bath 1800 sq, ft home.  I run it almost every day, alternating rooms.  i can run it at night when I sleep and wake up to a clean kitchen/dining room.......especially lovely when company leaves.  It suits me very well and love having one.  This does not replace my vacuum but it does keep the house neat and tidy and free of dust bunnies and dog hair with very little effort on my part.
