Re: RESCUED SMALL ALABAMA COTTAGE

She did a great job. Any mention of the kitchen?

Those metal awnings were nostalgic to me too, @twinsister !

Belated shout-out to @jubilant --  I realized she has in some areas a bit of that lavender/green combo that you recently highlighted!   Refreshing, esp. in a warm climate.

I didn't read anything on the kitchen in the article I read, @AuntG .   I'm thinking it would have to be pretty small, since some of the other rooms were fairly spacious for the size of the house.

I like the curb appeal of this house, and think the inside pictures are "cute".   I feel it is a perfect fit for a former design editor of a magazine, especially Southern Living.

However, I don't want to live in a "cute" house where everything is just waiting to be photographed.

The exterior of the house is really adorable, but I wouldn't be happy with an office in a separate building.  I think 800 sq ft is too small for me to be happy.

I love how she rescue this little house. It is homey and seems carefully thought-out, so no space is wasted. Love the individuality....it isn't stuffy or formal...but looks beautful. She is very talented. Wish the kitchen was pictured...would love to see did with a small kitchen.

Thanks, @racada !   I think the "before" exterior was quite decent, but she reported there had been porch problems, and some restructuring had to take place...

So much we don't see.  To me in a space that small you make the cute back porch?  Good grief where do you put food and other things?  And that about has to be the only bedroom in 800 ft.
