Quick Drying & Absorbent Towels

[ Edited ]

I ordered a Hydrocotton Organic bath towel from Pottery Barn to see what it's all about (F&F event going on).  It is suppose to be very absorbent and dries quickly.  Has anyone tried this type of towel?  What did you think?

If a towel is very absorbent and thus gets very wet, I can't figure out how it could be quick drying.  It'll dry only as fast as the environment it's in will allow.

LL Bean has a textured cotten towel set that is fast drying and very absorbent.

I like the Fieldcrest Reserve towels that I found at Target at a reasonable price. They can't be beat.

@Katcat1 , I don't have an answer for your question but here is what not to buy if you want fast drying...bamboo.  I bought a bath towel to try bamboo out awhile ago.  Takes forever to dry.  At twice the cost of a regular towel I was not impressed and was glad I didn't buy the matching hand towel and face cloth.  In addition, it puckered along the decorative edging.  LM

Re: Quick Drying & Absorbent Towels

I have quick drying towels in my RV from JC Penney's .  I have had them for years.  They are thinner, but the cotton loops are long.  They do absorb water and they do dry faster than thick, short looped towels.

I like them a lot.
