Question re Poo Pourri

I bought 2 sets because of all the great reviews. Foyer half bath and upstairs kids bathroom. Also used the smaller bottle in our master bath. Got them last week, used them according to directions (we used 6 sprays). I was so disappointed. It worked a bit but nothing like the reviews I read. Has anyone else gotten less than stellar results with this product, or are we just a family of ........well, you know. ;-/ little stinkers!!
