I know so little about such things so I hope I can explain this right. My husband loves building things for our home. He's built a shelve unit to house all my cookbooks. And a cabinet for my overflow of kitchen gadgets. I love him for doing all this but most everything but most ewverything is not sanded properly, I guess. Everything in the house, I had to wrap ther shelves in shelving paper to avoid getting slivers in my hand. Anyway our deck is no exception. I had to cover the first deck with rugs because everytime I stepped out there without shoes, I'd get wood in my foot. Anyway, he just built another deck on the other side of the house. As soon as I touched the handrail I got a sliver in my hand. So my question is, is there anything I can put on it to make it smooth.? Wll just sanding it down more do the trick? He spread some kind of stain on it to make it waterproof but it doesn't help with the ruff edges.. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
