Question about duvets and comforters

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is ok to buy a comforter that is a few inches bigger on the length and width to fit into a duvet cover? I am looking at the Company store and they have some nice comforters....anyone familiar with them? They run big, but I was thinking that they might fill the duvet cover in a more lofty fashion because of their sizing. What do you think? This is the LAST thing (I think!!) that I need to purchase to send my son off to college{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
