I moved into my house about 6 years ago & was the 2nd owner of this home. The first owner had all bisque appliances put into the kitchen by the builder when it was built about 10 years ago. There was originally a glasstop electric stove in the kitchen, but gas had been plumbed in when the home was built. Since I prefer cooking with gas, I put in a nice GE Profile 5 burner gas range in bisque about 5 years ago, because I wanted the appliances to all match. My home is an open floorplan & the kichen is basically in the middle of the house & is visible when entering the house & you have to walk past the kitchen to get to the great room beyond it. The walls are off-white & I think the original owner thought the off-white appliances in the kitchen would blend in more or something, better than SS appliances would.

I have a side-by-side fridge (it's already been repaired at least once, so I'm a little nervous about it anyway!) & I really would rather have a French door model with larger & wider freezer on the bottom. There are rather limited choices in bisque these days & I think about the only option I have is another GE Profile model, but I don't really want to buy all new appliances to get them all matching. If I'd been the original owner I would've gotten white appliances, but I sort of have to work with what I have here. Do you think a white fridge would stick out like a sore thumb, since it's the biggest appliance & is visible over the kitchen island or should I stick with the bisque? The fridge, range & over the range microwave are visible & facing out into the house when you come in, but the dishwasher is in the island w/the sink & faces the opposite way.

I'm not planning on moving, but it seems like mismatching appliances is a big no-no on the house hunting shows! But then, maybe so are bisque appliances! lol I don't really think I want SS, though, so I guess it's between white or more bisque. Am I overthinking this? Just not sure which way to jump,
