Sorry if this has been shared before but I found it very interesting and hoping it won't make big changes in Zulilly

Just saw at the scrolling at the bottom of my news cast that QVC has purchased Zulilly for 2.4 Billion dollars.  Trying to cash in on the younger generation so guess they haven't done it with all their changes made in the past couple of years.

Hi. I'm not familiar with Zulily.  What do they sell?

Hi newjersey,

They are a computer based business.  I don't know too much about them but have ordered before.  I think they are different vendors selling items, anything from clothing to household items and some brand names.  They do have a no return policy unless damaged and their shipping is slow, usually doesn't ship for 2 weeks.

One good thing about them is they have a one time shipping each day and after your 1st item, all other shipping is free  (hope that doesn't change)  I do think they charge for shipping on bigger items.

You'll have to check them out.

I am sure some of our other posters can explain it more fully or better than I have

This is kind of big news, right?  I've been enjoying Zulily's website, after being recommeneded by the contributers here.  I've seen some QVC offerings on their website before, so I'm wondering if this is where more clearance items from QVC will end up.  In any case, it's a fun website.  Have you seen the silver tabletop finials that are new in the Christmas section?...

@PeterDM...I haven't checked Zulilly out for a week or so PeterDM, sounds like I'd better do that huh.

I must have missed the Q items listed on Zulilly.  Just hope they don't make lots of changes and mess with the S&H

Re: QVC and Zulilly

[ Edited ]

@Just Plain Crazy, I just checked my order history and it looks like I've ordered 14 different things from Zulily in the past two years or so.  Most of that is home decor or storage, oops, and kitchen gadgets, and a couple of pairs of shoes.  I've been pleased with all but two of them.  I had a platter arrive broken, and the latest item, the gold finials (see Christmas at Zulily thread if interested in details) were defective.  Zulily refunded in both cases without the need to return the items.  I did include a photo of the finials just in case they were going to request it anyway.

What a way to do business.  I order things hoping nothing goes wrong, but isn't it nice to know that if something does go wrong, they are willing to assist with minimal inconvenience to the customer?

I hope QVC doesn't throw a wrench in it.

@PeterDM, I see two silver finial sets when I search for finials.  Both look really nice, but beware of what happened with our gold finials.  The gold set is Cypress Home.  HTH.

@SHOPR..I haven't checked my history but have ordered off and on in the past several years too and have good luck.  Sorry to hear about your finials, didn't see that since this format is hard to follow.  Glad you got your money back.  I too am concerned what this will mean for shopping there.  Me too hoping for no wrenchs.

There is one way in which Zulily could definitely use some improvement. They need to always give item measurements and more thorough descriptions.

This set of lanterns has no measurements whatsoever.  How many people will pay $65 not knowing their size?
