I just found the new Purex Crystals fabric softener at my local WalMart. You put the crystals in the washer tub (regular or front load) put the clothes on top, add detergent, and start your washer. They don't have oil in them like the liquid and sheet softeners so you can use them with fire-retardant clothing and towels. Towels are still nice and absorbent and the scent lasts a long time. I have a front load and it looks amazing inside. No junk from the liquid dispenser and even under the gasket is super clean. I live in a dry climate and this takes care of static cling. This is a defiant keeper.
