Problem with CI 3 candle lantern #H213267

I ordered this in the antique bronze and received it today. The weird problem is that the top part is ant. bronze, but the base is the black/white version. Anyone else get one like this? The only color available now is the white. Is there any way to get in contact with CI to see if this is going to come back in stock? I would like to return it if I knew it would be restocked, but if not I would have to try to paint or stain it somehow to match...a hassle I don't need right now. Any info appreciated.

Also, it has big finger prints on the inside of the glass that bother me and it is sealed shut. I just wanted something nice to complete my front porch display. Is that too much to ask?

I ordered the bronze & it arrived as pictured but have 2 more on the way...fingers crossed they arrive without problems. Several posters said you can remove the screws on the bottom to open it up, they wanted to clean the glass & some wanted to add decorations inside. I thought about painting one dark red but you could get a bronze color paint, that might be your only solution. Makes you wonder how a mistake like that goes unnoticed. I'd call CS & get a partial refund if you decide to keep it or a shipping refund to sent it back. You can call to see if it's coming back in stock, sometimes they can tell. Good luck.

I could kick myself, as I had these in my cart several times, but hesitated and never did get them.

I like them because they are so inexpensive, which is what I like for outdoors. Not a huge investment as the wear and weather out of doors.

I'm sure they won't bring these back and I don't really want the white for out there, although I loved all three colors.

Really sorry I hesitated on these.

I received my gunmetal lantern a few days ago. It is beautiful and I wish I ordered another one. Mine had a black spot on the inside front of the lantern. Someone had written a review that she was able to remove the top. I gave it a try and it does unsnap and comes off. I was able to get the black spot off and put some fall decorations in it. It looks great. I plan on putting some holly in it for the holidays. I would call CI to see what they say.

I would attempt to remove the top as Pecky suggested and see if that works but no, you shouldn't have 2 tones like that.

I ordered 6 of these in the bronze, one in the white. They are FANTASTIC and you would never know they weren't metal until you touched them.

I ordered 2 gunmetal and 2 white. I will change them out for seasons. Mine are perfect....as a matter of fact I ordered them for outdoors but liked them so much they are flanking my picture window in my living room. I took down the 2 Luminara lanterns (the original wood ones) and these are in their place. They are beautiful. This is one of my top 10 purchases from QVC. I would order more if I had a place to put them.

@country gal, I saw these as-is earlier today. Sorry that I didn't jot down the item number. Perhaps you can get one in bronze as-is if you check from time to time. HTH.
