I just got a new Sturbridge Yankee Workshop catalog and on page 8 they're selling a wooden 'utility board' tray that fits atop a stove, converting the stove into more counter space. Call me crazy, but covering stove burners with a wooden tray is probably not the best idea in the world. All it takes is one forgetful moment of turning on the burner before you remove the tray and you could have a big problem. I like a lot of their stuff, but that's a risky thing to sell.
