My grandmother had a pink one in her bedroom. We only had one phone. It was on the kitchen wall. It was beige, like @DREAMON 's picture.
Then in high school, my dad let my sister and I have a wall phone in our room. But like, @docsgirl , he later had it removed because my sister and I were on it so much!😅
I still have this on my kitchen wall. It's not hooked up but I just like it. We do use the cork board and it has a space to hold the phonebook(empty now)🤗

I did not have a princess phone, but I had a blue push button in the receiver. It was in my room but I wasn't allowed on it all the time. I was 13 and sooooo happy. Mine was powder blue though.

My sisters and I had a Princess phone in the bedroom we shared. Don't remember the color. Only got it because my eldest sister was dating a guy who worked at South Central Bell. Our other phone was on a small table in the corner of our dining room. Both were rotary phones with coil cords.

I have a vintage pink rotary dial Princess phone in my bedroom, on the table next to my bed and I do use it. My son gave it to me for my birthday several years ago. I love it.
The rotary dial does light up as a night light.
It is just like the pink one that I had in my bedroom, when I was thirteen.

I remember other special phones, I had one that was in a carved box, and one that was ornate . . .
Our dod compromised and let us get a long cord. We could go around the corner and at least sit on the floor.

I did get a pink princecss phone, but now I can't remember if it was a rotary dial .... or push button. Can't even picture it now!

I can totally understand that ... it was the era, in part.
Can you image telling a young person today that they can't have a cell phone until they have a regular paycheck? Wow. LOL ![]()

Even if I had to talk to a classmate about a homework assignment, I had to WALK over to their house to "get advice".
I figured my mother just wanted to "get rid of me" for an hour... I guess I didn't know the VALUE OF A DIME! di
