My home is done in primitives & that's not a primitive kitchen.... it's modern.

I agree with some poster's it is not what I consider primitive.

 

I like it, because I like more of a minimalist design.  But my taste would be for lighter cabinetry and I would miss upper cabinets.

 

Edited:  Perhaps it is the lack of cabinets and use of shelves that could make it primitive and not the particular style of cabinetry and choice of materials.
