Re: Pretty Traditional Dining Room...

I don't like a single thing about it.  Not the colors, not the furniture and defintely not that huge chandelier.

I could live with the flooring, if everything else was taken out and I started over with a blank slate.

I like it, rich looking with an office-dining room vibe.

I like the floor and side chairs but that's about it for me.

Re: Pretty Traditional Dining Room...

If this was my best friends dining room, I would tell her it's a nice room, suits her, and mean it.

However, there is not one single element in this room that would be in the dining room of my home.

I like it.  Love the checkered chair covers.

@stevieb  A lot to like in this one.  I love those floors.   I also like the colors used in this room. I wouldn't have thought of a chandelier like that but, you know, in a way it really ties the room together, at least from the viewpoint shown here.  I went over to see what the rest of the house looked like and those kitchen floors and the bathroom floors are also very beautiful.

@stevieb

A few features I like .. the wall color, plants & floor.  The rest is too formal for me & I'm never a fan of those type of chair coverings.

Thanks for sharing.

I definitely think the room needs a rug under the table to ground it.  A wall color change would help a great deal too. Funny how the walls are pink but the room still manages to be somewhat depressing.

I don't care for the room as it is in the photo; it definitely needs some help.

Would love to see a different designer's take on the room if they only kept the table, side board and the two chairs.
