No timer is a deal breaker for me.  LOL.  They are cute though.

I made something similar by putting Pier 1 lights in a jar. I like Pier 1 lights in lanterns too.  One remote handles them all.

As for a timer I bought 2 Luminara Hudson Lanterns and the candles seem to go through batteries.
