Re: Pretty Fall Maple Picks....

[ Edited ]

Thanks everybody, so sweet!

@Oznell

I know you like your reds or burgundies (more specifically)!

I wasn't sure about that color but I thought I'd try it, partly (really, this is true) after seeing your examples of burgundy used in decor and your pretty pottery and glass. I normally might have stuck with more muted and yellow colors but I'm expanding my horizons.....and I'm liking it! haha

I wasn't sure about the pitcher with them but that's the one I have so that's the one I used  (another Walmart find).

@GingerHead ,  the other thing I like is your ingenuity in finding affordable items and making them look, in context, like a million bucks.  We sometimes have the choice to spend more, but the real fun of the game is to see what we can do, and finesse, with less...  a very enjoyable feeling.

Re: Pretty Fall Maple Picks....

@Oznell

Thank you!

I so agree, I really enjoy the hunt of finding and tweaking things on a budget. I've done this since my college days and still do it today and even though I can spend more now, I've learned over the years that there is absolutely no reason to and besides that it takes away a lot of the fun.

I loved watching that old HGTV show "The High Low Project" where the host would recreate a high dollar room on a budget.

Well, I miss a lot of those HGTV shows where the host would show projects and crafts (Christopher Lowel, was one I remember).

I would watch and take notes like I was taking a class. haha

I have a notebook full of instructions and diagrams from those days.

Unfortunately, now HGTV is mostly just house flipping shows, nothing like it used to be.Woman Happy
