I am a clutz. I will never have light fabric chairs in my home.

Just OK to me; nothing I'd want to see in my home.

Great find!   I used my 'enlarge button' to look at the detail, and I love the mellow, rich wood detail in the crown mouldings, window and French doors!

This dining room strikes me as being in one of those swank, vintage buildings, where they spared no expense in architectural flourishes.  The sense of space it gives, and the many-paned windows with light pouring in, establish serenity.

I'd subtract a few of the chairs, to lessen any suggestion of 'conference room', and would switch out the chandelier for something a little more romantic.  But I agree that it is a pretty dining space with tons of potential.

@Oznell   Those crown moldings won me over the minute I saw them.  Serene was also one of the first words that came to my mind when I saw this.

I like your idea of taking away some of the chairs.

I do like this dining room.  I would put a few more pieces of art on the walls.  I love the drapes especially for privacy.  The chairs look comfortable and also love the design.  Appealing and lovely!
