I decided on a power station and got the Bluetti AC200L. This was recommended to me and has a 5 year warrantly. If it has to be recharged I can use my car or the outdoor gas generator I have. Have talked to the electricians that put in my heat pump about having a 240 outlet put in my garage for the generator. Can use an extension and run it from the garage to my patio which isn't far. The power station is plugged in and the plugs to the other things are plugged into a surge protector. If the power goes out the others are already plugged in. My internet doesn't work when the power is out so that's not a problem. I can use my cell. I have a buddy heater for heat and that worked fine on a propane tank last year.

Fantastic seems like your research will serve you well.

@kismet --I have a power station too--think I posted about it on this board earlier. It's peace of mind for me too. Had to toss out about $300+ in newly bought groceries for last years T-day dinner-mine will power just about everything but mostly for running my refer. It lives in my dining oom, all juiced up and ready to go!!!

I'm in WA too and you know how often the power can go out. In my area we have a lot of evergreens and mostly around my property. Longest the power has been out is 7 days and honestly it was hard. Now I'm by myself so had to make things easier and my son-in-law has been great. He came and hooked everything up for me and will check the outdoor generator. Too many years dealing with this. Noticed a lot more generators in the area now. Last year he brought up his small generator and would have loved to get what he has but I couldn't pull the cord to start it. I have my power station in the family room at least until the spring. It's 60lbs and can't move it so it's out of the way. I am concerned also about the refer and will see how it works with the extension cord. I have a freezer in the garage so can save some things since that will stay frozen for a few days. I can keep the refer things in a large cooler I have also. City life seems good this time of the year.

@kismet --I'm in Woodinville and have lived thru many major power outages----when I had my house--had a super wind storms and was w/out power for many days with each. One time a tree landed across my house and destroyed the roof and most of the 2nd story--was in the room where the tree fell---almost was crushed to death--anyway--I was going to suggest you get a trolly to put your power station on--I got one for mine and strapped it to the thing. Now I can just roll it out when I need too. Bless your SIL for helping you out. Rmember last year at this time? We had that bomb cyclone that ripped thru --was just before T-day---I lost power for a couple days . And had to dump the $300+ groceries I had just bought for the turkey dinner----was when I bought my power station---it can power up the refer at the very least.

I'm familiar with Woodinville. That city has grown up so much in the past years. Remember Molbaks with dirt floors. Too bad it's gone. I live in Lynnwood. I am going to have someone come over and check out the trees in my yard but my neighbors have a lot of trees also. Have a guy come and clean the roof once a year and then have someone come and just blow it off. It's black but now is orange with what the trees drop. I'm in a one story so if a tree falls the house will be totally gone. Love it here but don't love the wind I get. More than once when the wind has been so bad I have thought about going to a hotel. If you don't live in an area like this you can't imagine what high winds mean. I love it here but there are days I think living in an apartment would be nice. I had a friend that use to live in Woodinville but has since moved south. It's a nice area with a lot of trees also. I'm in the convergence zone so we get a lot of what others don't. My sil is a great guy and is always willing to help. He'll come to fix something and ask what else do i need fixed. He remodeled his kitchen and did a great job so I trust him. I insist on paying for parts, etc but he won't take anything for labor. I figured you lived in the area because you mentioned Evergreen Hosp. I will probably get a trolly and was going to put it in the dining room but my sil said it's better in the family room where the tv, light and small heater is and is close to the open kitchen. As long as it's out of the way, which it is, it made sense to put it in here. Got this power station and can add more batteries onto it should I need it. Wanted to get a big generator installed to take over when the power is off but need gas or propane heat which I don't have.
