Poppinfresh...I have a question

I read on another thread that in the past, you refinished furniture for a living...I recently posted a question about a dresser that I am stripping and then I will repaint BUT the person that painted the dresser did a horrible job, drips inside the drawers, just a mess! Did you ever run into this problem and if so how did you make the drawers look presentable?

I'd appreciate any professional advice you can give me. I have stripped many things over the years and this dresser is by far the worst thing I have worked on.
