Pop-it vs Origami

[ Edited ]

I've read through past posts from 2020 to a few years ago comparing the two, and most said Origami is better: thicker and higher quality, wires more substantial.

I'd like to know: for those who have or have had both, is Origami more substantial in terms of the build and the thickness of the wires on the shelves?

Thanks🌻

I believe they are the same.  I ordered a Pop-It and the Origami logo was on the product when it arrived.  It was also apparent in the video presentation.

I've only ordered pop it's.  I have 4, two did come in origami  boxes.  Each of the ones I have are easy to assemble (wheels only).  They are strong.  I only get them when they are free shipping.

The last couple of demonstrations I've seen for these they had the Orgami label on them during the show.

@skittles2  The only "wires" on my Pop-it are the 2 mesh steel/metal removable baskets.  The racks they sit on are also metal.

FWIW:  I did write a review on my Pop-it that the baskets were a PITA to slide in initially as the rubber nails were hard to install.  To this day, this has NEVER been mentioned when presented on air.  Otherwise, an easy peasy set-up.

I've only bought Origami and see no reason to switch.  Is Pop-it owned by Origami?  Sounds like it.

I found this on an AI search:

"Pop-It and Origami are sister brands from the same manufacturer. Both offer collapsible, powder-coated steel wire racks requiring no tools. The main difference is that Origami focuses on heavy-duty, one-piece frames that unfold entirely, whereas Pop-It typically features slightly lighter materials and removable shelves."

@pigletsmom2  was going to say the same tbing.  The lady on QVC that was showing them quickly covered up the metal plate that showed Oragami.  They cut away and they turned it around and never showed it again.  Oops!

The Big Deal Pop-It Heavy Duty Rack is clearly an Origami product. If you zoom in on the picture you can see "Origami" on the top shelf.

I have 8 Origami items--all different styles. I think they are great. And am pretty sure I bought them for much less elsewhere and only one is from HSN. I am using nearly all of them now in my apt. Need the vertical space in here. Got teased by the movers as they wheeled them in to my apt---And here is rack # 4----they would say as they came in---up to rack # 7 !! Had to laugh😄 but I use them !!
