Wrong size, wrong placement, and wrong style (in my opinion) for the rest of the room.

I love it!  I think it is unusual, it shows a little playfulness in the room, and it is striking.  I think it says the person who put it there has self confidence, and enjoys breaking the rules occasionally--which is exactly what needs to be done!

 

It is unexpected and beautiful.  It makes me smile!  I guess because it is unexpected and not the same old same old.

It looks like they ran out of decorating space and just added the picture there.

 

That stair wall to me, needs nothing. Between the woodwork on the wall, the stairs, the rail - I think the sofa and table w/ lamp are enough.
