I love the idea of using the spheres in a birdcage. I just got two birdcages (smaller and larger) from Saveoncrafts. I'm going to play around with putting a sphere/s in the larger one. What else, if anything, will you put in the cage with the sphere, Mallermo?
I love the suggestion of having a picture thread of ways we display our spheres. But I have a very difficult time uploading photos to this site. I do it all the time on Facebook but the last photo I posted here took at least an hour till I got it uploaded. And then it was too big or too small and I had to so it again.
I have not decided yet what to put with the spheres in the birdcage if anything. I still need to play around with it and see how it looks. I might have to steal some online ideas if I can find something interesting!
mallemo, your ideas gave me ideas. I played around with my birdcage and a medium sized green sphere. I don't have a pink one yet--waiting for them to hit the outlet. Put a layer of artificial ivy on the bottom to conceal a glass bowl on which I sat the green sphere. Then I scattered some deep purple silk lilac stems on top of the ivy. My birdcage has a door which I opened and put a little bird on the door. It looks cute. If I could figure out how to upload photos, I'd put one here.
You sound like me. I'm always "stealing" ideas from online or from the creative people on this forum.
Saw your photos on the other thread. Now I may have to steal your ideas! They look awesome.

Hi mallemo-so sorry about your broken sphere. I have lots of different kinds of birdcages but haven't seen one like that. All these ideas about how to use the spheres are telling me I need to get my purple ones out of the box again.

Yes, most of the spheres there are really high in price. Valerie did say on her FB page that pink will be back in May.

The only pink spheres on Ebay that I can find are $59.99/set or $94.99/set which is much higher than Q prices.

Steal away, mallemo. What's that old saying? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
I also have a smaller birdcage (they came in a set of two) and the smallest sphere easily fits inside so I did another birdcage with ivy garland and a small silver sphere.

Thank you! I'll bet your smaller birdcage looks very nice as well. I sure hope I don't get addicted to the spheres as I just don't have any extra storage room for them. They are pretty though!

I know what you all mean about storage. Those spheres take up a lot of space. Right now, I have a stack of VPH in the middle of my attic. I'll have to make some explanations when DH goes up there. But he never goes into the attic so I'm okay.
