i love that green candle holder you have in your picture with the flameless candle in it.. where did you get it? i looked on the pier one website couldnt find it???

@bonnie f  Hello, Denise, I am assuming you mean this candleholder (I attached the pic below)...Valerie Parr Hill's ceramic hurricane H202090. It looks like the green is currently out of stock, but there are 4 other colors you may also like.

Watch the video if you have time! ...HTH Smiley Happy

@Susan Louise  Hi Susan thanks for sharing.....Pier One always has such cute things!!! BTW those Glimmer Strings are the ones my sister had that wierd incident with...LOL!!!

I was thinking the same thing about some of the arrangements, and we can probably make them cheaper and especially if you hit a sale on the flowers at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Your arranagements are beautiful! Smiley Happy

SPURT, tell me more about the weird incident with glimmer strings.  I own a strand but haven't used them yet.  :-)

@SHOPR  Hi SHOPR---I posted it over in the decorating snafus.....my sis bought the Glimmer Strings and set the timer, and everytime the lights came on or went off it changed the channel on her TV---I guess the timer for the lights was on the same frequency as her TV ---LOL

I own them too but did not have any problem with them.......

I have some of the Glimmer Strings also and if I have them on timer mode when I lower or raise the volume on our TV they come on and blink for each volume change. Very strange. I really like the way they look but they go through batteries in just a few days.

@mallemo  Although they do go through batteries quickly, I found Duracell will last a  while longer along with the timer or remote.....

I just came from Pier One and was told Fall/Harvest decor will be oout August 2.  Currently they are having a big sale.

On the Pier One site it states August 3rd for most items I have been looking at. Maybe it's dependant on the store's location.

One day is no big deal, but I just thought I'd mention it for anyone who is planning on making a trip to their local store, to call 1st so they don't make a wasted trip Smiley Happy

@Susan Louise  I agree different Pier One stores seem to operate at their own speed, and the merchandise can vary greatly from store to store around here.  Some definitely have better merchandise than others, and some stores seem to be a bit skimpy with the products they offer.  Thankfully, the one closest to me is a fabulous store with so many nice things but dangerous to my wallet !!! Thanks, SPURT.  What a strange occurrence.   I am going to revisit several ongoing threads, including that one, when I have a little more time.  I've been popping in long enough to check on just a few threads and then leave, because the new setup is still bothering my eyes.  :-(

BTW I rec'd a notice that you mentioned me.  Has that finally been fixed?  I haven't heard.  I had given up on it.  Testing @Spurt

@SHOPR  I hearted you for one of your posts that I liked which gave you the notification. And I got one from you so I guess if it was broken, they fixed it Smiley Happy

Hi @Spurt@.  For me, the "heart" notifications have always worked, but whenever mentioning anyone with the @ before their username, it would not usually send them a notification.  Now the "mentions" and "hearts" notifications both seem to be working, and both show up together under Notifications.  I found a thread about it by dooBdoo a while after I had posted to you above.  Now, if they will ever change the screen background color to something softer, that would make my eyes really happy.

@SHOPR  Well I'm glad they got things are up and running.  The other day I was using the Chrome browser and had problems posting....so I switched to Firefox and no longer had any problems---go figure!!!  There are some things that the Q Tech Team needs to work on.....I concur on the background, hard on the eyes, and there are a few other features I wish they'd bring back too

Re: Pier One harvest decor...

Took a look at the site, then realizd, darn, that I can't have my granddaughter around all that wonderful glass decor.  Pillows yes, glass no.  So it'll be another year before I can do a tiny splurge at Pier 1.

(Whenever I walk by one of their stores, it's like a vacuum just swoopes me in.  Can't help it. LOL!)

@bonnie f  Did you order the one that was 'as is'?

BTW, I now use a Luminara candle in ours and I like the look so much better when it's lit Smiley Happy

@Spurt I was on a different computer today that I rarely use, and it only has Chrome and IE installed.  I was trying to use the forum on Chrome. It would work ok for a bit, then all of a sudden I couldn't get a cursor in the reply box, and another time I couldn't edit my reply.  I gave up and switched over to IE just to finish up.  Firefox has not given me many problems with this forum, thank goodness, since it's my favorite and what I use most of the time when I'm doing anything online.
