UGH!   Just UGH!  

There are flying little buggers that are swarming my living room windows.

I had the exterminator come and he sprayed and put down some bug stuff all around my home.  A friend caulked the teeny, tiny space between the window sill and the wall.  We thought that would take care of the problem but I'm still seeing a few.

They come out in the late afternoon, after the sun has warmed those windows.

I've read about them and there is no way I can look for any cracks in my foundation.  My condo is on a slab.

I know this has been a particularly bad year for bugs in general.

I should say for ME IN GENERAL since the bugs don't seem to mind at all.

Has anyone dealt with these little buggers????

No @hick awe don't have that issue we are being attacked by potato bugs. Every morning we have hundreds on our patio. Where are they coming from??? Driving me crazy. Good luck 👍

Sounds like you are on the ground floor - if so - try this - it worked for me.

I was invaded by big flying black ---bugs of some kind.  Never saw before.

I kept my vacuum cleaner (plug-in type) handy and when bugs appeared, I sucked them up with vac.  Eventually there were no more.

Your bugs are in the walls - or behind shutters - and as the sun warms them..... they come out of their nest.  Then return to nest.

Eliminate those you see - day after day - and soon = GONE

I stead of a vac filled with some dead, some still moving bugs, go to Amazon or Harbor Freight store and get an electronic / electric " fly swatter ".  It uses a battery and you don't have to swat anything. Just hold it close to the flying bugs and when they land on the grid, you can hear the crackle.

It looks like a tennis racket.  I would opt for the larger battery ( C, I think ).  I found it last year when I had a number of small flies.  Swatting them with a folded up newspaper was working.  When it did, I had to clean up the mess.

I used it this year on the 3 spotted lantern flies I saw outside.

We are dealing with the flying ants right now--maybe termites??? Not sure but sometimes  I just happen to watch the birds or even the dragon flies swooping in mid air to catch them. We had ants in the house for years--tiny little sugar ants and then the carpenter ants. they show up in Feb, so got a local bug company to come spray every other month and then---a huge tree fell on our house, destroying the top floor and roof--got a new roof and that's where the ants lived, so it was all cleared out and rebuilt minus the ants. Kind of an extreme removal and I DON'T recommend that!!!!

I had an exterminator out also. The ones I am dealing with now look like the tiniest ants crawling from one side of my patio to the other. They aren't ants, though. They aren't segmented and have a tiny white dot on the rear. I can't find them in any insect identification picture. Very slow and seem to only be out in the afternoon. I don't think they fly===just crawl. Wish I knew what they were.

Then there are those tiny gnats in the house that get in my drinks, even when I cover the glasses with paper. So now I use a reusable lid for dog food cans as a cover on my glasses.

I used to have snakes in the yard, but no snakes around to eat these bugs. But I am not complaining. I would rather have the bugs than the snakes.

I don't know how to reply to an actual response here on the forums.  BUt for Baily Sue who has gnats - I also had them and hate them.

On Amazon, there is an item that consists of a little green stake  with yellow sticky tape.  You put the tape on the stake and then pop the stake where you want the gnats to disappear.  I put them in my plants and am amazed at how many gnats actually land on the yellow sticky paper.

It's called Houseplant Sticky Stakes so clearly it's for plants but maybe would work in anything that could hold the green stakes.

They hate the smell of Wen Cucumber oil.  Put some drops where they try to get inside to your house on the inside of your house . They will run away from it.
