Just wanted to update you on my skating snowmen. I used lights that are made for the light up houses, 5 on one plugin. We put 2 in the big snowman from a few years back and 1 in each of the skating snowmen. Have them on remote control so I can turn on whenever. We had seen a display at home depot where they had made a "skating pond" in their village so we made one for the skating snowmen.
Took a plastic blue tablecloth and laid that down then put the plastic piece that is a cover for the floursent ceiling lights, one that looked crackles. Picked this up at home depot. I then took a snow blanket and pulled it apart and put snow around the edges of the "ice" and put little river rock around and on the snow. Put the snowmen on the ice as if they were skating. Then picked up some very little white battery operated lights at grocery store flower shop and put that on the snow in front. Put the big snowman on the snow as if he was watching the little ones skate.
I was hoping to share picture of it with you all but can't get them to upload on photobucket.
Thanks so much for bringing these to our attention. I love them and so enjoy them.
