Hi JPC and Susan: I have been MIA. Working 12 hour days. UGH. I have not yet gotten my witch. When I spoke to Skyline two weeks ago, they said it would be in a week or so, but now they are saying in September. Guess they didn't get their stock in. I did have a chance to get to Pier 1 this week and they have some great pumpkins coming in that will look great with my Fall Jim Shore pieces. JPC you have to check out the HL crows that Susan showed in some of her pics. I got them the other day too and they will be perfect with my witch when she flys my way.

JPC: Not to pry but did you finally get info from the Dr.?

Glad to see that you are okay, just been busy 12 hour days, that is the makings for wearing a person out.

Sorry to hear your witch hasn't made here landing yet. That is a bummer. Hope she makes it by Halloween.

I saw a crow at JoAnns tonight. Looked for an owl but didn't like the one they had. That was one big crow. Was the one at HL big??? I was close to a HL tonight too but went to JoAnns for thread and had other running to do so didn't stop tonight. Will have to check them out next time I am close.

Haven't been to the doctor yet MTH. I go on the 19th of Aug so hopefully have some answers by then. Hoping that it isn't bad enough to do anything with yet. I had almost forgot about it since it has been so long this has been going on. thanks for asking and will let you all know when & if we find something out.

I haven't been to JoAnn's yet but Pier 1 had a really nice owl. Not sure what size you are looking for, but the P1 owl is called "natural feather owl" and is about 9" tall. He stands on his own which is nice too. I actually picked him up this week. The HL crows come in 3 sizes, 8, 10 and 12 inches and are on a base and each are in a slightly different pose. I do not see the crows on the HL website tho. Pottery Barn has some natural feather crows too if you want to check those out on the website. The owl is showing on the P1 website if you want to check it out.

Work has been a little tough but I finally got someone hired so I will have some additional help. Its been a long summer as far as working goes.

I would be very surprised if any Dr. let you go this long if your condition was needing immediate attention so keep thinking positive that all will be good.

Love that owl MTH. what size is it??? That will look so mixed in with lots of things. Did you also get a crow??? You mentioned it in an earlier post.

OOPS, didn't see your earlier thread about Pier 1 owl. I was close to one of them the other night too and told Mr Crazy I should stop there but didn't need to. He asked if I was sure and I told him if I stopped I would just buy something and didn't need to.

It's a dangerous place, especially when they get new merchandise in. The owl is 9". I did get the crows too. I got all three poses that they had. SusanLouise has a pic of them on her Fall Decor Pic thread. They are mixed in with other items on top of her wall unit, but you can get a good idea of their shapes. The capiz pumpkins really look pretty but my P1 doesn't have them in yet. You should check those out too.

I always get in trouble when I go to Pier 1. They had some neat owls last year but so far, haven't gotten any. Luckily the Pier 1 I go to is about 1 hour away so don't go too often. I do have to go pick up my "poky Little Puppy quilt" soon so might have to stop and check out Pier 1. I did get their catalog but didn't look too close at it. My HL is only about 20 minutes away so make it there more. Last time I was there they were just putting out Xmas decorations so I do need to go back and see what they have this year.

I did see those crows on SL wall unit and they looked really good there. Do those have feathers??? The one I saw at JoAnns was almost as big as a real crow with feathers. Looked like a stuffed crow. Not to my liking at all.
