Oh I can just imagine how much my husbands vocabulary would expand if there were pink walls, furniture, or decor in this house!
To him, everything should be black, blue or green.
I am drawn to red, navy, black, tan, pale yellow and multi shades of green.

I like pink in home decor, fashion and cosmetics. I am wearing a pink tee shirt today with my jeans.

This is the third home I've owned where I've used this color. Furthermore, my mom liked it so well, she had her interior painted the same color. The color is Sherwin-Williams Petite Fours. Two of my rooms have a mauve accent wall, the exact color if our Sandia Mountains at sunset.
I use mostly shades of turquoise as an accent color, including some painted furniture. Have a lot of Indian art, pottery, Navajo rugs, paintings.
I'd post a sample of the color but the Sherwin-Williams site is down for "touch ups".
My public area is a very soft ivory-yellow in low light and a pinkish light shrimp-like coral in high light and with artifical lighting it is very taupish color. I had it made and I can't get it recreated because Benjamin-Moore has lost the recipe because of a computer crash locally. I have had it for 8 years and just don't want to repaint for that reason. My woodwork and crown molding, plantation shutters, fireplace are all white taupe.

I like all the rooms posted. Very tasteful and pretty!

Your home sounds quite lovely and sounds like what I would expect you to have and what makes us happy and speaks to us is what we should have.

@Queen of shop, how neat that your living room walls are in "Adobe Pink". I am going to look that up. Your design sensibility is sympatico.
@Kachina624, And I've seen your wall color, "Petits Fours", and I agree it is very pretty and easily acts as a neutral! Must look great in your house with your other accents.
@DSD2, take the plunge!
I'm gratified that there is so much pink appreciation and use out there. Thirty years ago I painted the walls of my condo living room at the time, in a pale pink, the name of which I sadly don't remember. I was inspired by an English country house aesthetic-- so many of those old houses had pink sitting rooms, with lovely chintz sofas and curtains. I didn't aspire to be that frilly, but found that I loved it, and pink walls made the most of the cool gray light that my northern exposure got.
In this house, I went in a different direction, but pale pink always makes me happy...

I never saw what Mario Buatta did for Nancy Reagan (I think it was at the White House or was it at their California home) but I liked him and at one time liked the chintz for an English cottage look.

@Nonametoday How sad that your beautiful paint color is lost and gone forever. It sounds magnificant. Your whole paint scheme must be a knock-out.

I loves pinks like in the first photo..I especially like it on the picture frame paneling. The first bedroom has just enough pink. I love fuschia in clothing...but not for decorating rooms. I agree pink can read as a neutral. One of my grands just had her room painted SW White Dogwood. I love it and it will grow with her without looking too " little girl".

I don’t mind soft pink in the house but any shade on clothing.
