On 6/26/2014 SHOPR said: MTH, I I know I can find you here, so wanted to say that I finally made a mad dash into Pier1 yesterday and bought the faux lemons you recommended. I got the small oranges to go with them instead of the limes. You are right, the lemons and limes are very realistic looking. The oranges are, too, except they're more like tangerines! Anyway, thanks for mentioning them way back when. They look perfect in my white VPH metal apothecary jar in the kitchen.
Hey SHOPR: You're right about finding me here. My memory aint what it used to be so I can only handle a few threads at a time....
. So glad you liked the P1 fruit. I thought they were the nicest ones I had seen at that time. Its a wonder they still had them. They change seasons and holidays so fast that I can't keep up with that place. I have the darker apothecary so the oranges might have been a better choice for me too. It would give me a little more color. Might see this weekend if I can still get them. Glad you are enjoying them.

MTH, I think I got the last bag of lemons and there were only 2-3 bags of limes left. The lemon/lime combo probably looks better, but the lemon/orange combo worked out best for me. Thanks again!

Did some checking on the internet for the Angel that SPURT has. One of the sites said it is dated 2011 on the bottom. Mine is from 2013 so he has been making the ones with the animals since at least 2011.
JPC
If you remember I have the matching Santa with the Woodland Animals which is also an older piece so maybe my Santa matches SPURTS version. Mine also has a base. Both angels are really pretty and different from each other. I just happened to see on Ebay that someone must have acquired a JS collection from an estate and they have about 20 angels they are auctioning off. I'm not really an angel collector, but they were fun to look at. We'll see how much they actually sell for!!
Hi MTH,
Guess I did forget that you have the matching Santa with the Woodland Animals. You will have to check the date on the bottom to see if it is a 2011 or a 2013.
I don't do many angels either unless they theme is something that I like. I do have 6 or sew quilting or sewing angels and a few others that just spoke to me. I started out with snowmen and then got into the Xmas and Halloween.
You'll have to count to see what you have in your collection. Bet it is more than you think.
I haven't checked them all out on ebay. Just had looked for the one you found for me to I could post a picture here for SPURT.
Hope you are having a good day. Raining here.
JPC
Ok JPC: I did a real quick box count of my collection and I have 40 pieces, but that does not count Christmas tree ornaments of which I have probably 5 or so. Those are packed away in the attic so I'm guessing. I think I'm severely lacking compared to you. But I did see that JS just came out with a new canine collection. Will have to check those out to see what he has to offer. Those are only on his website as far as I can see. Hope you are having a good weekend. Should get my washer this afternoon. YIPPEE!!! I'm actually looking forward to doing laundry today.

Hi MTH,
You have a sizable collection going there MTH. Won't be long, the way you are going, that it will grow a lot.
I did a quick check on my collection too and I am coming up with 114 total items in my collection. Much more than I thought. I have about 47 snowmen. Who knows though, I could have a few tucked away elsewhere that I forgot. I have told myself that next winter when putting up my decorations to make a list of all I have in each category with their names and maybe even take pictures of each. I did break them down in categories now but didn't take the time to write down the names etc. Now, we will see if I stick to that.
We are having some big time storms today. A town about 10 miles from us had golf ball size hail. That did miss us but we are having some heavy downpours and lost electricity for a couple hours. Raining hard again now.
Hope your week started out good MTH.
Edited: Oops forgot about my 2 big snowmen and the ornaments, pint size etc so with them it brings my total of snowmen to 70. I had them written down on a different piece of paper and didn't see it when I reported the 1st time. I thought 47 sounded kinda low when I said that. Guess I really have enough snowmen

Yikes!! I'm really far behind. I thing I need to relinquish my presidency. Better catch some of the CIJ shows to see if anything's new that I've missed. Our weather has been really bad for the past few weeks but we are used to that during our summer down here in Florida. We've had several power outages too in the past few weeks. It can get hot really quick when the a/c goes out around here. It's raining here tonight again too so I sympathize with you. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.
‎06-30-2014 08:57 PM
Oh, it won't take you too long to get there MTH. I was shocked that my total was so high. I figured my snowmen were a lot since that is what I mostly collect but looks like I have been doing okay too with other things.
I think after today, our rain is over for awhile. Mr Crazy said we got 2 1/2" since noon today. That is a lot of rain. We did get our electric back on. Mr. Crazy was home at noon when it went out so he started the generator so at least I could use a light or two. We were more concerned about the sump pumps not running and the basement flooding. One room would be my quilting room so when we loose electricity, Mr Crazy usually gets the generator going so it doesn't happen again. Never happened in my quilting room and sure don't want to take a chance of it either.
Have a good evening MTH and if you need help finding some JS items you don't have, just give me a holler. I will be more than glad to help

Hi JPC: Mr. Crazy must be so very understanding. 114 pieces is quite a collection. I'm always on the prowl for new JS pieces so we will have to keep a close eye on the JS website to see what comes out. There are still new pieces coming out every time I look. I did happen to see a sneak peak at CIJ items earlier this morning (but it looks like it was poofed already) which included some new JS pieces and ornaments so we'll have to see what he brings later in the month. Maybe there will be something I just have to have!!!
Gonna try to catch some of the CIJ shows tonight. Just fun stuff to watch.

Hi MTH,
Mr. Crazy is very understanding and feeds my addiction but I am sure he wouldn't have a clue as to what or how many I have. I was a little surprised myself. They just kinda multiply.
Darn, I missed that sneak peak that was posted this morning. Usually if I see that, I copy and send to myself so I have it knowing it will probably get poofed. Did you see the picture or get the # of the gingerbread accent lamp??? Was it from Valerie???
I am going to enjoy watching the remaining 2 shows also MTH. Nothing this morning that interested me.

Hi JPC: Unfortunately, I did not write down the number of the accent lamp and yes I believe it was Valerie's. I am actually having computer probs at home so I looked on my phone but I will keep checking in the event GodFreak gets it posted again. I didn't buy anything from this morning's show either, but I did get the Twister Trax ordered for my nephew which is the item I missed last year. It hasn't been presented on-air, but at least it falls under the January 2015 return policy. The only other thing I'm thinking about getting is the Kringle Express gift bag set. I loved last year's set and my DH loves to wrap using bags. Sorry about not writing that info down this morning. I should have known that thread would get poofed!!
