P ussy Willows are very delicate looking and sweet. You know what I think would look great with them?

I used to collect all kinds of weeds. They are so interesting and some so beautiful.

when we went on car vacations as a child I would always see them on the sides of the roads as my dad always took the scenic routes instead of the expressways.   I always remember seeing P.  Willows on the side of the road.   I would always ask my dad to stop so I could pick them because they reminded me of our kitties He always indulged me and would help me gather them .   When we came home my mom would find the perfect large vases to put them in .

@Oznell  Great memory thanks !

It's touching, hearing others' own personal stories of their love of p ussy willows, often tied up with our childhoods and memories of parents' cutting and/or displaying them in the house--  thanks all for sharing.

You're right, that black line she drew around the p ussy willow areas does seem not overly accurate, @Enufstuff !   But at least Massachusetts is shown to be one of the  "dark orange" states, which, according to the key on the side, has the most locations of p ussy willows....   if I'm reading it right.

Re: P USSY WILLOWS INDOORS!

I love them. I had a great bunch my mom cut for me years ago. Unfortunately, they do become time worn and so I eventually got rid of them. Sadly, my mother's neigbor or lawn service at the time, we never knew which, somehow managed to badly damage the bush beyond repair and she never got another. Would love to have a big bunch again and wish I could find some.
