The set and trees were stunning. The trees are styled out like department store trees where the goal is to ""Sell""! Great Show!!

The trees were lovely, but looked like display trees for a store. It's all personal opinion, I prefer a tree that shows more love. I enjoy the handmade ornaments that were gifts from friends, and children. You can see how a child grows through what they add. Each ornament holds memories. I enjoy watching the eyes of elder members of the family sparkle as they remember the stories for each ornament. Some of the ornaments on my tree have been in the family for several generations. My tree may not have the style of those, but it lights the eyes of my family.

Yes, Lila4now, they do look like "display trees for a store" probably because that's what they are. They are heavily decorated, but beautiful. I would love to do mine that well, and I have accumulated a lot of special ornaments - all burgundy and gold. I love the look, and the symmetry of my tree. Adding some new gold ribbons this year.
I had years and years of accumulated ornaments and decorations made by my children and grands. A few years ago I gave everyone theirs, and now they are enjoying them with their own families. They always send pictures of special things they treasure on their trees and we enjoy seeing them travel through another generation. Meanwhile, we love our burgundy and gold 9 foot tree each year.

I add a lot to my trees but not quite that much even though I think they're interesting. I like Lisa's style of decorating and the colors that she uses, not a fan of red/green. I can't wait to get out the Christmas décor and get started decorating. Everyone should decorate in the style that makes them happy because that's what it's all about, enjoying it your way.
Exactly.
It's what they do.
They might go overboard, but for me, better too much than not enough. A sparsely decorated tree just looks half done.

That's me, too. When I was actually buying stuff, I used to like QVC because there was one item at a time in front of me.
I can browse a whole jewelry counter without focusing in on one item to buy unless I already sort of know what I want. Same with clothes. Overload stops me.
I even went through a time when I'd walk from one end of a meat counter all the way to the other end without buying one meal - and there wasn't much in the house already!
The Christmas shows don't bother me at all though because I know I'm not buying.
