Impressive! And,I admit I'm a bit envious. How long did that take? You've inspired me to at least give it a try.. the organizing. Yikes!

Hi @DukeBlueNan

Honestly it didn't take that long. I cleaned out a box of things to give away, and some to simply throw out, but in total it took about an hour and a half. And that including washing and vacuuming out the closet.

It does feel good to open those doors now!

@Mominohio I love your wallpaper border!

@CelticCrafter

Thank you! I absolutely loved it when I bought it. I'm slowly getting the blue and pinks an lace and antique tea/china/feminine look toned down in the house.

I know borders are out now (and that one has been up for a very long time), but this house was so square and plain and at the time it seemed like a great fix for the boring ordinary that each room was.

I'm used to very old houses, with lots of pretty wood work, curved doorways and windows, just lots of built in charm. This house is/was quite a 'plain jane' and I was trying to inexpensively add some charm.

I have to say, that even if it isn't someone's style, the border has such striking detail. I'm kind of over it, and want to someday replace it with a really nice crown moulding, but that isn't happening very soon!

Heck girl we're hitting the beach to sit on that beautiful sand and relax in our cabana AFTER I take YOU as my "professional" shopper!!! 😁😁😁😉😉

I love your taste, your home is so cozy & inviting!

After seeing your organizing and pics I just pulled all the boxes out of my guest closet (I keep all my glass/ceramic pieces for all seasons in original boxes -  takes up lots of space) I'm going to get a clear storage box, wrap & mark them. Tomorrow project!

Today, I'm exhausted after being away 6 weeks (hubby & kitties home) I thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom. Hubby was like "I kept house clean" guess that was 1 sweep with the swiffer!!! Lol. As you can see my kitty is exhausted from watching me!!!

You do keep my OCD going!!!  Come on down the guest room is ready!!!

Ha! All I need is to watch a couple episodes of Hoarders and I'm ripping through the place like a tornado in a trailer park!

I honestly don't think my house would still be standing if I left my husband home for 6 weeks. I'm afraid I'd come home to an engine torn down on the dining room table! LOL

Your kitty is absolutely beautiful! Looks as though nothing much much stresses him/her!

I'm booking my flight as we 'speak' and I'll be there before you know it!

But thanks for motivating me! I should do before & after there maybe hope for me yet! Seriously, I need to just "let it go"!

(lock n lock overflowing)

Keep up the good work & yes, kitty is sitting tonight storage container as I type....he's just lazy!!!

😁😁😁
